Captured during a rare auroral display visible from New Zealand's North Island, this image reveals the meeting of two remarkable phenomena. While the Milky Way spans our home galaxy, the aurora is born much closer to Earth, created when charged particles from the Sun interact with our planet's magnetic field high above the atmosphere.

The still waters of the lake and the dark silhouette of the surrounding forest provide a quiet contrast to the dynamic display overhead. For a brief moment, the night sky became a canvas of pink light, wrapping the landscape beneath in a celestial blanket of colour.

Printing and Freight

All prints are produced to order and include free New Zealand-wide shipping. Every canvas and photographic print is carefully inspected to ensure colour, contrast and detail are faithfully reproduced before being packaged for delivery.

Orders are shipped via CourierPost with full tracking provided once dispatched. Please allow approximately 7–10 working days for printing, quality control and delivery.
